I know that I am stressed about putting the house up, but I sometimes forget that the boys are stressed too. Not for the same reasons, but it's a stressful time for them as well. Everything in the house has to be just so.
They can't play their games and stuff because I want to keep the basement super tidy. Their rooms have to be kept spotless. Which means Brad and I are after them every day to pick things up and put things away. My boys aren't normally slobs or anything, but if they left a a sock on the floor beside their laundry, it wouldn't have raised any alarm bells.
This week however, random socks need to be IN the laundry bin.
So there is that. Plus, their sleeping schedule has been thrown WAY out of whack. Usually they are in bed by 8:30pm. But yesterday we had a showing until 9pm, so we stayed out at my brother in laws place. We didn't get home until 9:15. Then there is bedtime snack and teeth brushing which means they didn't really hit the sack until about 10pm.
ADHD and Sleep is a good pair. ADHD and no sleep is just asking for trouble. Poor Zach is completely out of sorts. His routine has totally gone to shit, his mother is on him every second of the day to not make a mess, plus he's jealous/anxious about his brother's birthday party. Perfect storm.
At least I sincerely hope that's what it is.Hopefully the house sells on offer day (Wednesday June 11) and then things can sort of get back to normal. We can get back into a routine, not worry about rogue socks and just enjoy the rest of the summer.
4 days to go.
