Race and Renos....

Oh Boy,

This weekend is shaping up to be a crazy one.

First off, it's race weekend. So that in and of itself is enough.   Plus...Logan is in a ball hockey tournament, Zach has his hockey windup, Owen is getting possession of his new house and we are going to help him with his renos on Saturday.  What makes it all the more complicated, is that I can't drive!!!

Here's how it's all going down.

My friend Laird is picking me up Saturday at 7:30 am for race set up at Assinboine Park.  Brad is going to take Zach to his hockey windup (Brad is the coach, so he has to be there as well).  Then the two of them are going to meet me at Race Set up later on in the afternoon.

Logan will be dropped off with our friends Dave and Beth who will take him to his ball hockey tournament and then Brad is going to ask if Logan can sleep over and go with them to ball hockey on Sunday too.  We've taken their twins for a sleepover when Dave had to go out of town and Beth had to work, it's amazing how much you rely on friends when things get busy!

So with Logan squared away, after race set up on  Saturday afternoon , we (Brad, Zach and I ) are going over to Owen's to help with his renos.  Owen has always dropped everything to help us with renos and saved our butts on numerous occasions, so it's a no-brainer that we would go over and help him.  Owen and Whit are getting possession of their new house tomorrow afternoon, but it needs some work before it's habitable.  The walls need to be painted to cover the smoke smell from the previous owners and the basement needs some demo.

He's having an all day renovation party, but with race set up, we can only make it over in the afternoon.  After that, it's go home, crash for a few hours and then leave the house by 5 am for Race Day Sunday morning.

Race Day and then take down usually goes till about 3 or 4 pm.  Then and only then will I be able to sit back and relax a bit.  It's one of my buisest weekends of the year, but one of the most rewarding ones.
