You would think I would used to it by now, but somehow I don't think I will ever get used to waking up at 6:30am on a weekend to take the boys to hockey.
Then got home from that only to mark papers for a few hours.
Sunday was the exact same. Woke up at 6:30 for a game and came home and marked papers. Fortunately, in the afternoon, I had plans to go to the spa with Debbie.
We hit up Riverstone on what was arguably the nicest days weather wise I have EVER seen in January in Winnipeg. Things were melting.
Let me say that again because I am not sure you went on the journey with me.
Spa was lovely. Very much a warm atmosphere. I usually go to ten spa which has a very cool color palate. Riverstone was a lot more earth tones/fire etc.
The massage was great. Quite nice in fact. They finished it with some peppermint oil, so you are tingly... awesome.
The only hiccup in the whole thing was in the shower afterwards. The showers are more like car washes. The water comes at you from all angles.... no nook or cranny is overlooked.
There was a lot of knobs to turn. I had no idea which controlled which, so I turned them all on. After finishing with the lemongrass bodywash (which left me scented like a freshly dusted armoire), I went to turn off the knobs. Except that I turned off the temperature knob first, which meant that all 50 nozzles were now spraying ice cold water at every nook and cranny.
But barring that, the afternoon was quite relaxing.
Got home and helped Zach study for his social studies test. It was a re-test because the teacher had sent Zach with the wrong materials to study for the first test so he obviously didn't do well.
Teacher emailed me this am that Zach for 100% on his test. Good for you kid. Knew you had it in you.
