Need to step away from the Chair.

I decided yesterday to get my haircut. Annual event.

It was time as my hair was starting to do a remarkable impression of hay.

I made the appointment for 6:45.  I was told when I arrived that my stylist was running late.  That wasn't so bad because it gave me enough time to go to Bath and Body works and spend an obscene amount of money.

Headed back to the salon.  Shampoo girl did her thing and then led me to a chair. Where I waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Finally, this guy comes over with a bottle of coke and says.  "Sorry about that.  I just really felt the need to step away from the chair a bit you know?"

Uh.. dude?  I went from being excited to get my hair cut to being really nervous in 3 seconds flat.

The guy then proceeded to tell me how he likes to live his life "off the grid". Don't stylists generally let the client talk about themselves?   I just sat there the entire time listening to this guy go on about how he's made all these amazing life choices (he genuinely thought they were awesome) and I think he was expecting me to just nod and smile and validate how awesome he was.

Meanwhile in my head..

Haircut turned out okay, which is a relief considering the fact that my stylist was currently having what I can only describe as "a day!".
