All together now. Calming Breath.

@#$)(*&*(&*^$%#

Sometimes morning are so frustrating.  Meds haven't kicked in yet, Lots of things to remember, Lots of tasks to do, Always have to hurry.

Zach does not like being rushed.  You rush him, you will very quickly find yourself on the bleeding edge of a meltdown.

Zach didn't want to get up this morning. Then he wasn't happy with his cereal choices, then he was annoyed that Logan finished his cereal first and got to brush his teeth first.

Honestly, sometimes I want to pound my head against the wall at the sheer lunacy of their arguments.

I made a decision not to get sucked into the negativity and just carried on with what needed to get done.  My husband works early in the morning, so I have to get the boys ready for school by myself. I had to trust that Zach knows what is expected of him in the morning, he was just choosing not to.
It went surprisingly well, when Zach realized that I wasn't going to play the game of who can get the most mad, he dropped it.

So while it was a frustrating morning, it was a good one too in that I realized I have a new tool in my toolbox.  I have tried it out a few times and each time it has worked.  It's moments like this that I need someone to high five.
