Big Day

Well, today is the day.

Today we are going to meet with Zach's pediatrician, the first appointment since we got his diagnosis. The recommendation from the other doctor was mediciation and so I have at least 5,000 questions on that. All of them written down and I will not be leaving until they are all answered.

It's just such a huge thing. To decide to take medications knowing there is risks involved, but at the same time, knowing that the medicine can potentially have a big positive impact on the quality of life for our son.

Sometimes being a parent is hard.  On one hand I wish someone would make the decision for us.  On the other hand, I don't want anyone making decisions that involve our son  for us. Totally torn.

I think the best thing we can do is ask all our questions, make sure that they do a full check up on Zach and know absolutely everything there is to know (medical history, family medical history etc) and make the best decision with the information that we have. If that means meds or if it means no meds, we will make a decision and move forward.

If anyone can send good thoughts or positive vibes our way, I really would appreciate. it.
