Big Bouquet of Awesome

The life of being a parent of a child with ADHD is not easy. Unless you actually have a child with ADHD you could not understand exactly how hard it is.
We have Zach's consultation in March. I am excited because it just means help for Zach. Also, by going through the S.M.A.R.T.E.R program, all treatments ( OT etc) are covered. While that doesn't sound like much, we spent close to $ 1,000 in private OT this summer.
I have to remember to focus on positives. It is hard because there are days I need to vent and many of my close friends are dealing with infertility issues and the last thing they need is a friend who has 2 healthy boys b*tching about it.
So I try to deal with it on my own. The frustrating part is that there is no support groups for ADHD parents in Winnipeg ( according to the MB society for Mental Health) Maybe I could find one online or start my own.... Always a thought.
Today was a good morning at home. I let Zach sleep in a because he said he was tired yesterday. Logan and I got up early, read some books together and got ready for school. Logan doesn't have ADHD, but its really important to us that he gets one on one attention too.
Well that's it for now, my bus commute is almost over- nothing like a cathartic blog post on the commute to get Tuesday going.
As Logan says.... "Let's Roll!!!"
