Super busy day at work.... but have to say, I really love it. I may bitch from time to time, but I am fortunate to have such a cool place to work.

Bleek left as soon as I got home.  I am happy he and my Dad are such good friends, it kinda cool when your Dad and your husband are so close.

Boys finished their homework, well, not homework. Kindergarten doesn't really assign homework, nor does Grade 2.  However, we have found that if we work with Zach on some school skills at home, he's more confident at school.  Zach gets so worried he'll make a mistake that he's scared to try. So, we work out the bugs at home so to speak, where we have the patience to work one on one with him, so when he goes to school, he's more sure of himself. Win. Win.  Logan is a smart little man. He's extremely insightful and never ceases to amaze me. He speaks like a well read adult and yet he uses the words in the correct context.  We have workbooks for Logan too - he picks up on the skills very quickly. My boys are so different and yet I wouldn't have it any other way. Each one teaches the other about acceptance and understanding of their strength and weaknesses. I think it's a skill that will serve them well later in life, or that's my hope anyways.

So since it's Friday, the boys know that they get to watch TV if they have had a good week (i.e. helped with chores, behaved at school/daycare/home etc).  This was definitely a good week - so they get to watch TV. Since it's only on the weekends, it's a reall treat for them and they look forward to it.

With the boys occupied, I decided to continue along with my AMJ.  Figured, I would be best served with a 4 mile run.  Surprisingly enough, it went well.  The broken toe from this summer doesn't seem to bother me when I run, just when I walk in heels ( yeah, never do that at work...) So while I am thrilled that I don't have to take a hiatus from exercising, I am still annoyed by the pain.  I have an appointment at Pan Am next week to take another look. Not sure exactly what they will be looking for... maybe the bones didn't set right? Who knows... What I am sure of is that I cannot wear flats for the remainder of my life... so I need to do something now.
